One Love

Friday night, I attended my first birthday party where the bday boy's picture was ironed onto 50 shirts, and all party-goers wore it with pride. There was even 'pin the accessory on Marse'. Notice his likeness in the poster and on the shirts. Lauren had the right idea when she said, "man, I can't wait to see what you guys do for my birthday!" Honestly, how to one up a face on the shirt??
This weekend, the One Love One Beach ultimate tournament went down: hardcore. Two days of playing on the shore of Mission Bay gets you 1) dirty 2) ditsy 3) dandy. The tourny was super fun, 'rasta' all weekend. Our team was false itals, and we wore it with pride. As our captain recounted the weekend: "i'n'i be most irie from our i-tal work, bringin down babylon, an bringin the upful trophy back to our gates, in san diego. we mash it up most hard and righteous. sight? seen. and i'n'i (we) did it with most cultcha and irie-ness." Try keeping that accent going. It turns out it's not so hard when it's ingrained from all sides. Ended up the tourny champs, which essentially means we take home a solid gold bling bling olympic style metal (kind of)?

This Sunday we'll be at the park at 10a for yoga if you're interested. Everyone is welcome (friends, friends of friends, beginners to advanced, etc). Check the right side of the blog for exact directions. Starting Sunday, donations of any sort are recommended. (This includes food and clothing, fyi). Hope to see you there!
